A Heartfelt Thank You After 5 Incredible Years
After five amazing years serving our community, Beer Fridge will officially cease operations on February 28, 2026. We are no longer accepting new orders.
This was not an easy decision. What started as a simple idea grew into something far more meaningful, a business powered by great customers, trusted partners, and a shared love for great beer delivered right to your door.
Today, more than anything, we want to say: thank you.
Five Years of Growth, Learning, and Community
Since launching in 2021, we’ve had the privilege of serving customers who believed in our concept and supported a small business with big ambitions. Whether you purchased a single box or subscribed with us year after year, you helped shape who we became.
We’ve:
- Built lasting relationships with outstanding customers, suppliers, and partners
- Learned (sometimes the hard way) how to operate and improve
- Celebrated milestones, solved challenges, and evolved along the way
- Delivered thousands of shipments to customers who trusted us
Your loyalty, feedback, and patience has meant everything to us - especially during the growing pains that come with building something new from the ground up.
As many people know, especially small business owners and entrepreneurs, starting a business from scratch is a tough journey and not for the faint of heart. As the origin story of many businesses in our industry, Beer Fridge was drawn up on the back of a napkin over a few beers by Cofounders Travis Kane and Jake Bassett in 2019. Having both worked long and successful careers in business, marketing, and media, we set out with our own ambitions to build something special in an industry we were passionate about, inspired by our hometown, Bellingham, WA which we loving refer to as the craft beer micro-mecca! Surrounded by amazing craft breweries both here and throughout the region, it seemed like a no brainer to get these amazing craft beers into the hands of more beer fans around the nation.
After years of research and development, Beer Fridge was launched in November of 2021. Since then, we have served thousands of customers, drastically improved our services and offerings, and grew our collection of products. Meanwhile, we maintained busy full-time jobs, raised young families, stayed involved in our local community and tried our best to manage and scale our business nationwide. We closed out 2025 as one of our best years yet!
Why close after such a long and successful run? To put it simply, we are exhausted. In order to continue growing, Beer Fridge needs more time, resources, and commitment. We've given it our all, but we are ready to move on. We've built and accomplished things we are so proud of and never thought possible at the beginning. It's been an epic, rollercoaster journey full of "high-highs" and "low-lows". We're ready to close this chapter and write the next one!
To Our Customers
Thank you for supporting our small, independent business. Thank you for the referrals, the social shares, the emails, and even the constructive criticism that helped us get better.
If you currently have an active subscription, you will receive direct communication from us regarding fulfillment or refunds prior to our closing date. Our commitment is to close this chapter responsibly and professionally.
To Our Partners
We are incredibly grateful for the vendors, collaborators, and service providers who believed in us and helped make our model possible. Your trust and partnership were foundational to our success.
What’s Next
While Beer Fridge is closing, the entrepreneurial journey continues. The lessons learned over these five years about customer experience, operations, resilience, and growth will carry forward into future ventures.
Businesses sometimes end. Relationships and gratitude do not.
